The Online Clinic Management System is a web-based application that comprehensively manages clinic operations. Its features encompass doctor profiles, patient records, online appointment scheduling, patient reports, billing, clinical tests, and medical store transactions.
This project enables administrators to access the entire application. Patients can book appointments both online and offline. Doctors can manage patient reports, receptionists approve appointments and generate bills, and medical store administrators can view suggested prescriptions.
Each Polyclinic patient is assigned a unique patient ID and password. With these credentials, patients can log in to the Polyclinic website to access their appointment details, patient reports, clinical test results, billing information, and more.
The Online Clinic Management System is an internet-based project developed using PHP as the front end and MySQL server as the backend. PHP is a server-side scripting language that’s cross-platform and HTML-embedded.

System Features
1. Login Account:
Users must enter a valid user ID and password to access their account. If the credentials are correct, the system redirects to the user’s page; otherwise, the user is prompted to register. Different roles, including administrator, receptionist, doctors, and patients, have separate login pages.
2. Admin Module
The admin is the super-user who has complete control over the system. The admin can add, delete, update, and modify records, ensuring the system is up to date. They also manage users, including doctors and employees, and oversee overall system functionality.
3. Online Appointment
Patients can book appointments online by selecting a date and time. The receptionist verifies and approves the appointment based on doctor availability. Patients can view their previous appointments and records within the system.
4. Doctors Module
Doctors can check scheduled appointments, view test reports, and enter prescriptions for patients. Additionally, they can access billing details, earnings, and salary information within the system.
5. Billing and Maintenance
The receptionist is responsible for entering consultation fees, laboratory charges, and other expenses. The system automatically calculates employee salaries, total expenses, and doctor earnings each month. Expenses and receptionist salaries are shared equally among doctors for fair cost distribution.
Users
- Admin: Admin should have prior knowledge of the system. Admin is able to controlthe whole system. He/she can add, delete, update and modify the system.
- Receptionists: in order to add or delete the details of the patients come for the treatment and accordingly provides identity to them.
- Doctors: Doctor should fairly know about the usage of the system. Doctors are able to see the respective appointments taken. And also can view patient’s details and records.
- Casual users: Anyone can view the information of the polyclinic. Patients can view their own records and doctors details and timings. And also can take appointment online.
