Web based instant messenger

Web based instant messenger is the chat application which is developed using PHP (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) and MySQL. This is the web application which works in all the browser. This project works like Yahoo messenger or google hangout.  This has options of quick and easy way to chat with all members.

Features of the project:

• It is the web application which works like standalone project.
• This is useful for for community websites where user can chat quickly and easily.
• Web based messenger can be integrated with any site with small changes.
• This is very similar like Yahoo messenger or google hangout.
• This will display how many staff logged in, Number of online users and number of offline users.
• If the person is offline then the user can send offline message to the user.

Modules of the project:

• Registration module: In the registration module user must enter login id, password, email id, name, etc. after the registration user can login to the system.
• Login module: The registered user can login to the system by entering login id and password. After the login the system redirects to chat window.
• Lost login module: This is the forgot password module where user can recover password by entering login id and password.
• Profile module: User can update their profile details.
• Chat module: The chat window displays all the user details and It categorizes online users and offline users in the chat window.
• Message module: In the message module the user can send offline messages. If the person is offline then the user can send offline messages to the person. Offline messages stores in the messaging module.

Note:

• User must turn on Javascript in their browser.
• popups should be enabled in the browser.
