Web chat is a feature that allows users to communicate with one another in real-time over the internet using a web browser. It is typically implemented using a combination of client-side and server-side technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a web server. Online Chat System is an opensource project developed using PHP (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) and AJAX . We can implement this in our project such as Social Networking, Online Matrimonial site, etc. No data base is required for this even No flash file is required to this. User has a provision to send private message and he can create private room.

AJAX Chat is a fully customizable implemented in JavaScript, PHP (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) and MySQL which integrates nicely with common forum systems like phpBB, MyBB, PunBB, SMF and vBulletin.ย ย Its developed using latest PHP (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) and AJAX technology.ย A Flash and Ruby based socket connection can be used to boost performance. Download this project and implement this as plugin. We got this project from source forge.
