brief explanation:
Ecops project develops a system that can be used by the citizens to give the complaint through online. In the existing method of giving complaints is a time consuming problem. In this existing system citizens need to go to police station to give complaint about anything. Because of this one some people will have no time to go to police station and some of the people will feel bad to go to police station and some of the people want to maintain secrecy. This project is very flexible for those kinds of people. It fulfills different requirements of people, who want to give complaints.
The specific purpose of the Ecops system is to automate the communication between the citizens, and the police officers of the particular police station of the city. The key entities of this system are citizen’s complaints, police officers investigation and megistrator judgments. The activities relating to this system are list of the complaints of citizens, complaints descriptions, and send the complaints, police officer can view the complaints based on the area, and updating the status of the complaint based on the investigation, and if the investigation is completed based on that updated status megistrator can give the judgment and many additional tasks which supplement the above functions.
The followings are four major funtional requirements,
Administrator should be able to create/edit a virtual policestation which takes online complaints.
Appointing police officers to a particular police station which is present in a specific zone or to a specific district.
Every user maintain the user id and password to login into the system. Police officers user id and passwords are given by the administrator.
The user details should be verified against the details in the user tables and if he / she is valid user, they should be entered into the system.
