Online Pet Shop system helps pet lovers to buy the pet animals they love, and they can also lend their pets to the pet shop when they are unavailable. The information of each pet available for sale in the pet shop can be viewed by customers, along with images and videos of the pets, through the webpage. The system also includes a Pet Care feature where people who rear pets can lend their pets to the pet shop for a short period of time to take care of them in the absence of the owner. The vaccination details of the pets are also updated on the webpage.
In this system, customers must register by entering all their personal details so that they can view and purchase the pets they love. Once logged into the website, customers can access various news and articles related to pets, helping them take good care of their pets. The admin or staff of the pet shop portal can add different pets of various breeds. Customers can view and purchase the pets they desire. For customers who need to travel to distant places where they can’t take their pets, they have the option to lend their pets to the pet shop, which will take care of them in their absence.
The admin is responsible for adding information about each pet available in the pet shop, including different breeds of animals. Additionally, the admin must monitor the sales information of the pet shop. The webpage also includes vaccination records for the pet animals. Customers can book vaccination schedules for their pets through the pet shop.

Project Scope and Product Features
- The customer who wish to login to the website must make the registration by entering their personal details. The customer can login after the successful registration.
- The admin must add the staff, only then the staff can login to the webpage. The customer can view the news and articles published by the staff or the admin. The customers can use these as guidelines in raising their pets.
- The admin must add the information about each pet that is present in the pet shop. The different breeds of animals are added by the admin. The admin must monitor the sales information of the pet shop.
- The webpage also includes the vaccination records of the pet animals. The customers can book the vaccination schedules for their pets in the pet shop.
- The admin and staff must update the medicine details of the pets and the pets are nursed well if the pets have any health issues.
- The admin can view the sales details of the pet shop by viewing all the purchase details of the customers.
- The customer can have their suggestions and feedbacks regarding their views in the feedback panel of the website. This helps the pet shop in developing the features of their webpage.
Programming Language:
The system is designed using PHP, HTML5, and CSS3 coding, and all other documentation is maintained.
The database is designed using the MySQL server, and the database is connected to the project in the coding using SQL queries.
Users of the System:
- Admin: The one who manages the entire website. The admin monitors all the activities that happen on the webpage and also oversees customer and staff accounts.
- Staff: The staff is verified by the admin. They don’t have the same level of authority as the admin, but they hold prominence in the system.
- Customer: The customer needs to register. Once the registration is successful, they can log in to the webpage. Customers can then view and purchase pets.
Modules of Online Pet Shop:
- Pet Info: This module includes the information of the pets. The admin or the staff can enter the details of the pets, and customers can view these details.
- Sales: The sales module includes all the sales that have been done in the pet shop. The admin or the staff must update the purchase details of the pet shop.
- Breeds: In this module, the admin must enter the different breeds of animals that are available in the pet shop.
- Medicine: The pets must be well-nursed, and all the medicines needed for the pets are available in the pet shop. Customers can order medicines for their pets from the website.
- Staff: The admin must log in to the system using valid login credentials. The staff members are added by the admin. The admin has complete authority over the system, while the staff has limited authority.
- Customers: Customers must register on the portal in order to purchase pets. Once registered, they can log in and purchase pets as well as benefit from the features of the pet shop.
- Adopt Stray Dogs: The pet shop not only sells pets but also adopts and cares for stray animals. Stray dogs can be adopted by customers.
- News and Articles: In this module, the admin or the staff can add news and articles related to pet animals. Customers can view these news and articles, which will help them in caring for their pets.
- Pet Care: This module includes features for taking care of other people’s pets. People can lend their pets to the pet shop when they are unable to take care of them. The pet shop will take care of the pets until the owner returns.
- Vaccine Schedule: This module includes vaccine details for pets. Customers can view the vaccine details and make vaccination appointments for their pets.
